Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE food.  Sometimes this love for food borders on obsession. I would never claim to be the greatest cook (far from it), but does someone need to be a painter to appreciate art? I say, heck no. Bring on the tasty, exotic, beautiful creations that make my mouth water. And I will gobble them up.

Naturally, food photography is something I’ve become a bit interested in over the years. And although most of my professional work has been centered around people, I have been dabbling a bit in photographing culinary creations (it’s also been a really good way to learn a whole other side of photography – still life). So when I saw that Project Basho was offering a food photography class, I jumped on that faster than you could say “scrumdiddlyumptious.”

Here are some of the fruits (no pun intended) of my labor from class. I had so much fun with it, I wish it was longer! Big thanks to our instructor Andrew Kahl for sharing his food photography knowledge with us!
